The article presents results of an analysis including cyber ethnography, discourse and critical discourse analyses as tools for revealing the ways in which the Strandzha brand is presented. The object of research is Strandzha, it is a unique region with a rich cultural, historical, and mythological heritage in Bulgaria. The hypothesis is that the Strandzha brand is multifaceted, heterogeneous, and evolving as a result of the interpretation of its historical, cultural, and mythological heritage, and this requires new approaches and techniques for its reconceptualization and promotion using digital tools, through the creation of partnerships and networks, and its positioning from the regional to the national level, and from there as a contribution to the creative industry in Bulgaria, the region, and Europe. Opportunities have been identified for using brand journalism, podcasts, and social networks to promote the brand through content creation with digital tools and artificial intelligence. Steps are proposed for developing a communication campaign to build and promote the Strandzha brand in Bulgarian media ecosystem and virtual environment through digital marketing and public relations. Opportunities for changing the paradigm when presenting the Strandzha brand in a communication campaign are described too.

"Charlie Chaplin on Vitosha: The Shaping of Film Culture in Bulgaria and the Balkans between the World Wars" is a scholarly volume edited by Alexander Donev, featuring core research by Andronika Martonova. The book explores the dynamic emergence and development of cinema culture across the Balkan region during the 1920s and 1930s. Centered primarily on the Kingdom of Bulgaria, the studies extend into neighboring territories, including Thessaloniki (Greece) and Vardar Macedonia.Through meticulous archival research, the text examines how early cinema interacted with national mass media, local artistic communities, and state institutions. By analyzing the regional reception of global icons like Charlie Chaplin alongside localized case studies, the book sheds light on the complex processes that integrated the Balkans into the global network of interwar film distribution and culture.

This study examines the role of 39 chitalishta (community cultural centres) and their libraries as institutions that embody cultural and social capital in four Bulgarian municipalities – Gotse Delchev, Garmen, Hadzidimovo, and Satovcha. Two pilot composite indices are introduced: a Chitalishte Activity Index, incorporating events, artistic ensembles, project activity, membership, and staffing; and a Library Activity Index, weighting usage, cultural activity, capacity, and development/innovation. Results reveal uneven distribution of institutional activity independent of network density: Hadzhidimovo has the highest number of chitalishta per capita but the lowest activity index, while Gotse Delchev and Satovcha demonstrate stronger and more balanced performance across both chitalishta and libraries. A typology of libraries is proposed based on comparative indicators. The study contributes an empirical and methodological basis for further research on cultural infrastructure in peripheral regions.

The Sofia University Library is the largest academic library in Bulgaria and one of the leading libraries in the country. The paper presents a case study on the implementation of CultIS – a web-based software platform for intelligent digital management and presentation of large datasets and knowledge in the fields of culture, humanities, and social sciences, carefully preserved by the library for many years. The process from both technological and library perspectives will be presented, examining the challenges the team overcame, and the decisions made at each stage. Like any modern library, the Sofia University Library actively provides opportunities for secondary publishing, which are made possible by implementing the platform and integrating it with the Bulgarian Portal for Open Science. The results after one year of using the platform will be presented.

This paper presents a study, observations, and an analysis of the current legal status of the product Strandzhanski manov med within the framework of the European Union system of geographical indications. Particular attention is paid to the legal protection linking the product to the Strandzha geographical region and to its specific natural and traditional production factors, as a key mechanism for both protecting the economic value of traditional products and indirectly preserving the knowledge and practices associated with them.In this context, the paper examines whether this legal framework functions solely as an instrument of protection or whether it also participates in processes of transforming tradition through its standardisation, institutionalisation, and integration into market mechanisms.
