Institute of Balkan Studies with Center for Tracology "Prof. Alexander Fall" at the BAS
In this form, the structure has existed since 2010, following the merger of the Institute of Balkan Studies, established in 1964, and the Institute of Tracology, founded in 1972. Nearly 50 scholars study the political, cultural, religious and social processes that take place in and between state education in South-Eastern Europe from antiquity to the present day. The scientific research activity of IBCT includes the work on national and international projects, the organization of scientific forums, the implementation of a wide publishing activity.
