University of Architecture, Building and Geodesy
The University of Architecture, Construction and Geodesy (UASG) was founded in 1942 by a special law (SG dated 12.06.1941) as a Higher Technical School (VTU), solemnly opened on 04.10.1942. In 1945 , became the State Polytechnic, and in 1953 it was divided into 4 independent institutes, including Engineering and construction institute (ISI). In 1963, it was renamed the Higher Engineering and Construction Institute (VISI), and in 1977 – the Higher Institute of Architecture and Construction (VIAS). In 1990, VIAS was renamed the University of Architecture, Construction and Geodesy (UASG) by decision of the General Assembly of VIAS, and on July 21, 1995, it was officially transformed into a university by decision of the National Assembly.
