
On May 12, 2022, in Hall 19 of the Institute of Ethnology and Folklore Studies with the Ethnographic Museum at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, the presentation of the collection Bulgarian Socialism: Ideology, Everyday Life, Memory, published at the end of 2021 by the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences Publishing House "Prof. Marin Drinov" and edited by Ana Luleva, Ivanka Petrova, Petar Petrov, Svetla Kazalarska, and Yana Yancheva. The presentation was broadcast on the Zoom video conferencing platform and on the institute's Facebook page, where we observed a great deal of viewer interest. The event was hosted by the "Ethnology of Socialism and Post-Socialism" section at IEEM, whose members organized and held the international scientific conference "(Re)thinking Socialism. Knowledge, Memory, and Oblivion of the Socialist Past." The deputy director of the Institute, Assoc. Prof. Ivanka Petrova, greeted the attendees and delivered a welcome address on behalf of the management. She thanked the team that compiled the collection and all members of the section who participated in the preparation of the conference, noting that funding for the publication was provided by the project "Establishment and Development of the Center for Excellence "Heritage BG," developed under the Operational Program "Science and Education for Smart Growth."
