For the fourth day now, the international Advanced Summer Course 'Byzantine Epigraphy in Situ'/ BEinSitu is being held in Nessebar, in the building of the old town hall. The event is organized by the Center for Excellence (CE) "Heritage BG" with the assistance of the Municipality of Nessebar and the Museum "Ancient Nessebar."
The course is for advanced doctoral students and young scholars in Byzantine epigraphy in situ (Advanced Summer Course 'Byzantine Epigraphy in Situ'/ BEinSitu). The lecturers are renowned specialists in Byzantine and late medieval Greek epigraphy, such as Dr. Ida Tot from the University of Oxford, UK, Dr. Andreas Roby from the Austrian Academy of Sciences, Prof. Antonio Enrico Felle from the University of Aldo Moro in Bari, Italy, Assoc. Prof. Georgios Pallis from the University of Athens, Greece, and Prof. Emanuil Mutafov from the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences.
