On April 4, 2023, the Cyril and Methodius Scientific Center of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences and the Czech Center in Sofia will organize the premiere of the book "The Path of Cyril and Methodius – Spatial and Cultural-Historical Dimensions."
The event is dedicated to the feast of St. Methodius (April 6) and is part of the KMNC program for 2023, which marks the 110th anniversary of the establishment of the Kliment Commission (December 12, 1913) and the 60th anniversary of the restoration of the Cyril and Methodius Commission (May 22, 1963), as well as the 1160th anniversary of the creation of the Slavic alphabet.
The book (No. 33 in the Cyril and Methodius Studies series) contains materials from the conference held in Sofia on October 27–29, 2021, organized in support of the Association "European Cultural Route Cyril and Methodius," holder of the "Cultural Route of the Council of Europe" certificate. The Cyril and Methodius Scientific Center at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences is the Bulgarian representative in this international association, registered in the Czech Republic, in which we participate together with colleagues from the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Italy, Greece, Croatia, Italy, Austria, and Germany. They are also among the authors of the presented volume, published as part of the project "Establishment and Development of a Center for Excellence "Heritage BG" (BG05M2OP001-1.001-0001).
