The Institute of Balkan Studies with the Center for Thracology at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences (IBTS-BAS) is pleased to invite you to the Third Round Table "The Unknown Balkans" on the topic "First There Was Water." It will take place on November 27 and 28, 2025. The event is being held in implementation of Activity B "The Unknown Balkans," Project BG16RFPR002-1.014-0011 "Sustainable Development of the Center for Excellence "Heritage BG."
The round table will be officially opened by Prof. Alexander Kostov on November 27, 2025 (Thursday) at 9:30 a.m.
The scientific forum will be attended by both established and young scientists and doctoral students, who will present the role of water in the history of the Balkans.
The event will be held in a hybrid format – live in the Seminar Hall of the IBTS–BAS, 45 Moskovska St., 3rd floor, and remotely via the ZOOM platform (https://us06web.zoom.us/j/87326298581).
