On June 14, 2021, the Heritage BG Center and Sturshel i Polovina Ltd., represented by Prof. Ivan Ilchev and Mr. Rumen Belchev, agreed to digitize the 75-year-old archive of the Sturshel newspaper. The Sturshel newspaper, founded in 1946, became a refuge during socialism for famous writers, journalists, and artists who were dissidents and dared to criticize the "people's power." Thus, the newspaper became the "Ministry of Information" for the awakened conscience of the Bulgarian people.
The joint initiatives of the Heritage BG Foundation and Sturshel i Polovina Ltd. will contribute to the disclosure of the publication's invaluable archive and familiarize the younger generation with the "special means" used to promote truth in the second half of the 20th century.
